How to Choose a Wine Glass

• Always choose a plain glass to set off your best wine! You want the wine to be the center of attention.

• Stay away from colored and tinted glassware, even the ones with tinted stems as they distract from the clarity of your wine.
• While crystal is beautiful, it doesn't give as clear as view as glass.
• It's best to choose a deep wide bowl that tapers towards the mouth. This is not only works better to swirl the wine for tasting, but it also helps those divine scents to travel toward your nostrils in a much more concentrated aroma!
• Remember that red wines are served in bigger glasses than white wines.
• Sparkling wines such as champagnes should be served in flutes to preserve the mousse or fizz of the wine.
• Fortified wines, such as sherry, should be served in smaller, narrower versions of your red wine and white wine glasses.
